About me
Hello!
I am an independent studio jewellery artist. I design and create bespoke, one of a kind, rustic, original, intricate jewellery using fine materials. I work with sterling and fine silver, 14-24K gold, precious and semi-precious stones, and vitreous enamel. I employ different metalsmithing techniques to achieve desired results.
My mom and I used to go to the local art museum, where I was mesmerized and fascinated by different art objects, especially by personal adornment and jewellery pieces. This childhood fascination developed into passion.
My goal is to share joy, light, and love of jewellery with people around me. A lot of my creative ideas are coming from within me. Imagination is the powerful force of nature. I am also inspired by Mother Nature, people, architecture, visual art, music, baking, knitting and other creative endeavours.
After working in a corporate world for over 15 years, I decided to pursue jewellery making. I completed the required course work at George Brown College in Toronto and got the Certificate in Fundamental Jewellery Making. I continue expanding my jewellery fabrication techniques by taking various workshops here and there.
Some of my work is currently displayed and sold at Meta4 Gallery in Port Perry, ON, Canada. Please check out this FB video.
Here is a glimpse to my design process.
Thank you for visiting my jewellery shop, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sending love and joy,
Asel Art
